After several days of searching, the outcome is near. The rains in mid-September wet the mountain deer's back and it goes into rut, distracted and vulnerable.

After a first unsuccessful attempt to shoot a mountain deer in rut, our friends return to the Palencia de Ramón preserve to make a new stalking attempt that will allow them to get a good specimen. The open terrain and the scarcity of good specimens add to the difficulty of this

difficulty to a demanding and, above all, uncertain hunting modality. But the perseverance of the hunters will be rewarded in the end.
