The FAC offers free hunting for young people

The Andalusian Hunting Federation (FAC) has launched "Young Hunters," an ambitious project aimed at fostering generational renewal in Andalusian hunting. Starting this Monday, young members between the ages of 14 and 22 can apply to participate in over one hundred free hunting trips organized throughout Andalusia.
The initiative aims to make hunting more accessible to young people in Andalusia, breaking down economic barriers and promoting an interest in this traditional activity. Those interested can view the full schedule of events and register through the official website: www.fac.es/cazajoven , where they will find a specific form for each available event.
To qualify for one of these hunting experiences, applicants must meet a series of general and specific requirements —the latter defined by the hunting societies that have provided the days free of charge— and provide proof of this information through the required documentation.
The application period will be open until the end of July. An online lottery will then be held in September (date to be confirmed) to allocate the available places. Although participants can register for multiple sessions, they will only be eligible for one free session if selected.
“We are aware that the generational shift in hunting is progressing slowly due to various factors such as population aging, rural depopulation, and the decline of small game hunting, traditionally the entry point for young people,” explains José María Mancheño, president of the FAC. “Caza Joven (Young Hunting) was created with the purpose of motivating new generations and overcoming the economic difficulties many face in accessing this activity.”
In its first year, “Caza Joven” has established itself as a demonstration of the Andalusian hunting community's commitment to the future of the sector, thanks to the joint effort of the Federation and numerous hunting societies that have supported this unprecedented initiative.
